Step-by-step guide to issuing an e-invoice
1. Create the invoice – just like you normally do.
Enter the client’s details, select the VAT rate, language, IBAN, and payment terms.
Check the preview to make sure all the information is correct.
Tip:
Before sending, double-check:
✔ Is the client a Belgian company with a valid VAT/KBO number?
✔ Have you included your IBAN and payment due date?
2. Choose the sending method:
Select: Send via Peppol and email.
The invoice will be sent to the client via the Peppol network and also as an email (with PDF and XML attachments), sent to the email address entered in the client's details.
This way, you ensure the client receives it – even if they don’t use Peppol yet.
3. Delivery status will appear automatically:
For Peppol: Sent, In Progress, Sending Error
For email: Sent, Delivered, Not Delivered
You’ll also see an icon in the invoice list indicating whether the invoice was successfully delivered via Peppol.
