To connect your account to the Peppol network, you must first complete a one-time identity verification process. Once completed, your eFaktura.nl account will be registered on the Peppol network as both a sender and receiver of e-invoices.
The entire verification is conducted online, takes only a few minutes, and is carried out by an external certified Peppol partner.
All data shared during this process is secure and not stored by eFaktura.nl.
What will you need for verification?
Full name
KBO number and VAT number (BE...) – if these were previously entered in the system, they’ll be filled in automatically
IBAN – required so the invoice recipient knows where to send payment
To start, go to the Settings section in the app → Peppol tab → click: Verification.
How does the identity verification work?
Prepare a valid ID document (passport or national ID card)
Take a real-time selfie – the system will match it with the photo on your ID
In some cases, additional data confirmation may be requested
After completing the process, you'll see the Peppol status: Active, which means you can now send an unlimited number of e-invoices to any number of clients.
Note: Verification is required only once. If you later update your company details (e.g., IBAN), the system may ask for a quick re-verification, but the process will be simplified.
